NEWS: 23 January 2007 Sony Oxford at NAMM 2007

Sony Oxford had a very good week at the NAMM 2007 Show. As well as launching the Oxford Limiter for the Powercore platform, the big message for the show was ‘Oxford goes Native’. The first three Audio Units compatible plug-ins will be shipping by the end of January, with the remaining four plug-ins following shortly after.

The news was received with delight [u]from Logic and Digital Performer users</u>, wanting to run the Oxford plug-ins natively on the Macs. Demos of our entire range of plug-ins were given, as usual, by Fab, and special guest ‘Count’ (DJ Shadow, Pink etc.) gave a one off presentation on the Saturday going through his latest mix, and how he achieved the best sound possible using the Oxford plug-ins.

I WAS THINKING ABOUT TO BUY THE TC PO.CO... BUT AFTER TO HAVE READ THE LAST NEWS FROM OFFICIAL SONYOXFORD SITE I HAVE BEGUN TO THINK THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO ATTEND THE ESCAPE OF THE PLUG-INS IN AUDIO UNITS VERSION ;)

..ma che facciano apposta per far crescere l'interesse ritardando l'offerta? Mossa strategica o ritardo di produzione/sviluppo? Mi sembra che al NAMM però giravano già gli Oxford AU..

Anche perché avrei trovato una Powercore rack Firewire a 750 euro in vendita, principalmente avevo pensato di acquistarla per gli Oxfrod plug-ins (Inflator in particolare), ma adesso che sono stati annunciati gli stessi plugs in versione nativa mi è passata la voglia di spendere tanto di più per la Powercore quando potrei avere i plug che m'interessanno a meno insomma.

E' vero gribit, la chiacchera girava dall'inizio dell'anno scorso, ma qua [u]han pubblicato nelle news</u> l'uscita degli Oxford in versione nativa, ..se poi ritardano o non mantengono le promesse secondo me...son proprio dei castrati di testa!
