C'è un nuovo update della legacy collection di korg. La novità più importante, oltre ad essere ora più compatibile con snow leopard ed aver risolto diversi bugs a quanto ho letto, è che anche loro stanno eliminando la protezione con la chiave usb passando a challenge/response:

The copy protection method of KORG Legacy Collection series has been changed.

Korg announces that there is a change to the copy protection method for the KORG Legacy Collection series. Korg is switching from the USB Key Copy Protection to the Challenge/Response License Authorization where a unique license code is issued to your computer.

To all KLC series customers, we apologize for any inconvenience associated with this change, and greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Today, we have released KLC updaters* where you can choose either copy protection method. Please note that we are going to stop providing user support services for the USB Key Copy Protection system effective from April 30, 2010. And from May 2010, any updates we issue will support only the Challenge/Response License Authorization system, not the USB Key Copy Protection system.

We appreciate your continuing support for Korg's KLC series products.

Whohooo no Syncro è la volta buona che me li compro finalmente (tra ilok e syncrosoft e virus ti e cazzimazzi non avevo proprio piu spazio)

sinceramente a me disturba non poco che abbiano abbandonato la chiave usb: non capisco tutta questa avversità alle chiavi hardware; in 20 anni che le uso non ho mai avuto un problema, contariamente ai vari challenge/response e simili ogni qualvolta mi è toccato ri-autorizzare un hd :(!

saranno contenti anche tutti quelli che abitualmente usano prodotti "cinesi" credo :)

...personalmente anche io con chiavetta usb mi trovavo benissimo e non ho mai avuto problemi

anch'io preferisco la dongle usb , perchè i C./R. non sono illimitati ...
tendezialmente non compro mai software C./R.
quindi la cosa mi scoccia parecchio .

al punto Q8 dicono che si può installare su più computer ma funziona solo su uno alla volta.

io ho l ilok x le waves ma potessi abbandonarlo lo farei, ho avuto non pochi problemi colpa di porte usb tutte occupate e cose varie, avere una syncro era fisicamente impossibile e la cosa non mi ha mai permesso di avere questi synth.
Ovvio che il challenge response è una menata quando cambi computer etc

esistono gli hub usb, come mai non li prendi in considerazione? io ne ho uno sull'imac ed uno sul mac pro (4 porte ciascuno).... mai avuto problemi

lavorando solo su mpb ora ho solo 2 porte e sia scheda audio che virus vanno inseriti direttamente nelle porte del mac, quindi no usb, ho ovviato il problema prendendo un hub pci ma non voglio attaccarci troppa roba e rischiare di farlo esplodere
