Avviso compatibilità Lion e Native instruments

This page provides information about the compatibility of Native Instruments products with the upcoming Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion" operating system. It has last been updated on June 23rd, 2011.

Native Instruments has conducted initial compatibility tests with pre-release versions of Mac OS X 10.7, and has found an issue that causes the 64-bit versions of NI applications to crash both when used stand-alone and as a plug-in.*

The cause of this issue has been successfully determined, and updates for the affected products are currently in development, with their respective release planned for September or earlier. In the meantime, users should utilize the 32-bit versions of the respective NI applications**, or consider to refrain from updating to Mac OS X 10.7 for the time being.

Native Instruments has observed no additional compatibility issues under Mac OS X 10.7 yet, but will conduct further systematic tests once it has access to the final release version of the operating system. New information will be provided on this page as it becomes available.


* Please note that all versions of TRAKTOR and KORE are 32-bit applications only, and therefore not affected by this issue regardless.

aha, in effetti, proprio con N.I. il passaggio dei leopardi non è stato molto facile, me lo ricordo pure io.


Comunque, lo ripeterò fino alla nausea, chi ci lavora, a mio parere non dovrebbe preoccuparsi di aggiornare. Io mi doterei del sistema HW/SW migliore disponibile al momento (in base anche alle mie finanze ovviamente) e poi lo porterei avanti così fino alla sua completa obsolescenza fregandomene delle novità.
Ormai ci siamo tutti fatti un po' prendere la mano da questo sistema basato sul consumismo estremo purtroppo.

Aspettiamo tutti con prudenza anche guardando i siti dei produttori hw delle nostre schede audio e midi,tanto lion o lo si compra a lugliooppure a dicembre una volta uscito nessuno lo smuove dal mac app store,mentre invece i nostri plug in e sequencers in caso di agg.to di sicuro avranno problemi di compatibilità:Io ho dato uno sgauardo ad una lista che stanno man mano aggiornando ed al momento siamo messi molto male,quindi se proprio volete provare usate supporti esterni come hd e penne usb :)

in effetti dice di usare le versioni a 32 bit o di continuare ad usare Leopard.

Chissà come mai non mi stupisce questa cosa?

Un plauso ad NI che ha avuto il coraggio (almeno questo) di metterlo nero su bianco.

Il passaggio al 64bit definitivo, immagino non sarà ne semplice ne indolore,
ma spero risolutivo. Quindi attendo e installerò solo prodotti sicuri e certificati.

Io avrei da dire invece il peggio possibile, per quelle aziende che affiancavano Apple nel progetto thunderbolt e ancora oggi,
non hanno rilasciato neanche la notizia, figuriamoci le schede a supporto. Ma è mai possibile??

Apogee e Avid, sono miseramente cadute in basso. Peggio di così, non si può! :(
